More Self Defense Tools: Stun Guns and Personal Alarms [Podcast Episode 12]
Summary
The Women Aware and Prepared host, Mandi, continues a mini series on self defense tools. Today she resumes the mini-series on self-defense tools and wraps up pepper spray, moving on to stun guns and personal alarms.
She shares a real life story of a stun gun that saves a 16 year old from being kidnapped and sexually assaulted.
For those who live in the areas of the world that don’t allow these self defense tools, please remember you can use what’s in your hands to gain a second to escape, such as a cup of hot coffee, an aluminum water bottle, etc.
Lessons Learned
1. Choose a self-defense tool that you are going to be comfortable using that you know you can practice with. Just focus on one, maybe two tools that you will purchase and practice with.
2. Remember to keep the tool concealed, carry it in the same place, practice with it, keep the element of surprise and be situationally aware.
